FAQ

Preparing for your Semi-Perminant Cosmetic Appointment:

​

  • Do not consume caffeinated or alcoholic beverages the day of the procedure

  • If you are on any kind of medication that thins the blood, please refrain from taking it 24 hours before your procedure if the medication is not vital

  • If you plan on getting a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo, please discontinue the use of all Retain-A or Retinol in the treatment area for at least one week

  • If you get Botox, don't do it for two weeks before a procedure or for two weeks after

  • If you are getting a lip stain tattoo, and you have had a coldsore before, start taking Valtrex two days prior to procedure and continue taking 5 days after

  •  If you would like to do a scratch test to make sure that you have no reactions to the pigments used in the procedure, please come in at least 24 hours before your appointment to check for allergies

  • Do not consume Advil, caffeinated or alcoholic beverages within 24 hours of you procedure

  • Refrain from taking fish oil supplements at least one week prior

 

Aftercare for Semi-Permanent Cosmetics:

​

  • Do not get your face wet for 48 hours directly after the procedure

  • Feel free to use a makeup wipe around your brows but do not wash your face

  • Do not do any kind of vigorous exercise for the three days following your procedure

  • Do not put makeup over your tattoo for at least one week

  • No swimming in the ocean/salt water for 4 weeks because it makes the pigments fade drastically 

  • Apply Aquaphor to your cosmetic tattoo's multiple times per day until "scabbiness" or dryness heals

  •  Apply with a clear cotton swab as hands can transmit bacteria

  • Do not pick at or touch your new cosmetic tattoo to avoid infection, scarring, and possible color fall out

  • If you have received a lip stain tattoo, do not consume vinegar/citrus/acidic foods for 48 hours

  • If you drink any colored beverages (coffee/wine/juice) within the first 78 hours use a straw to make sure the final color does not get altered in any way

  • The results last 1-3 years, depending on procedure and how well you take care of your skin and the type of skin you have

  • It tends to last longer on drier skin and fade out quicker on oily skin

  • Wearing SPF everyday helps, and wearing a hat when exercising outdoors will prolong the life of your cosmetic tattoo

  • If you use Retin-A or Retinol, do not put it around your brows or over any other areas of the face that have been cosmetically enhanced

  • Do not use chemical peels and laser facials around your brows or over any other areas of the face that have been cosmetically enhanced

  • Do not get your face wet for at least 48 hours. The longer you can go, the better your results.

  • If you have oily skin, ignore the aquaphor healing technique and “dry heal” them. Kat can give you more specifics.

Touchup Policy:

​

  • Your touch up, 4-8 weeks after your initial procedure, is included in the initial cost of your service, but if you do not return for your touch up before the 8 week mark a fee of $100 is added to the cost of your touchup

​

Late Policy:

​

  • If you are late by 20 minutes or more you will have to reschedule and your original deposit is forfeit. You must leave another $100 deposit to reschedule, your original deposit does not go towards the total cost of your service, as it is kept as a fee.

Cancellation/Reschedule/No Show Policy:

​

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment you must do so prior to 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time. If you fail to do so your deposit becomes non-refundable. If you would like to reschedule you must leave another $100 deposit and your original deposit does not go towards the total cost of your service, as it is kept as a late cancelation fee

Tipping:

​

  • Question: “I’m so happy with my eye brows! Can I tip you?”

  • Answer: “Absolutely! Who doesn’t love feeling appreciated?”

​

  • Question: “What method should I use to tip ?”

  • Answer: “We accept Venmo and cash. I mean, who doesn’t love cash?“

​

Parking:

​

  • Question: “Do you have parking available?”

  • Answer: “Free parking is available next door in the Alan Gordon parking lot in the first to spaces on the left, Monday - Friday until 6pm. After 6pm and on weekends you can park in any space! If the lot is full there is free street parking in the residential areas. Please be sure to read the street signs for time limit restrictions and street cleaning.”

Payments:

  • Question: “What form of payments do you accept?”

  • Answer: “We accept Venmo and cash”

​

Online Calendar:

​

  • Question: “It looks like you have no available appointments listed on your online calendar. How can I make an appointment with you?”

  • Answer: “Due to the nature of my television career I do not have standard hours and I schedule clients around my set work. In order to request a consultation or appointment please email me at BoneStructureLA@gmail.com and please let me know your availability (nights, weekends, weekdays, etc.) so I can get back to you with some options.”
