  • Do not consume caffeinated or alcoholic beverages the day of the procedure

  • If you are on any kind of medication that thins the blood, please refrain from taking it 24 hours before your procedure if the medication is not vital

  • If you plan on getting a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo, please discontinue the use of all Retain-A or Retinol in the treatment area for at least one week

  • If you get Botox, don't do it for two weeks before a procedure or for two weeks after

  • If you are getting a lip stain tattoo, and you have had a coldsore before, start taking Valtrex two days prior to procedure and continue taking 5 days after

  •  If you would like to do a scratch test to make sure that you have no reactions to the pigments used in the procedure, please come in at least 24 hours before your appointment to check for allergies

  • Do not consume Advil, caffeinated or alcoholic beverages within 24 hours of you procedure

  • Refrain from taking fish oil supplements at least one week prior

Aftercare for Semi-Permanent Cosmetics:

  • Do not get your face wet for 48 hours directly after the procedure

  • Feel free to use a makeup wipe around your brows but do not wash your face

  • Do not do any kind of vigorous exercise for the three days following your procedure

  • Do not put makeup over your tattoo for at least one week

  • No swimming in the ocean/salt water for 4 weeks because it makes the pigments fade drastically

  • Apply Aquaphor to your cosmetic tattoo's multiple times per day until "scabbiness" or dryness heals

  •  Apply with a clear cotton swab as hands can transmit bacteria

  • Do not pick at or touch your new cosmetic tattoo to avoid infection, scarring, and possible color fall out

  • If you have received a lip stain tattoo, do not consume vinegar/citrus/acidic foods for 48 hours

  • If you drink any colored beverages (coffee/wine/juice) within the first 78 hours use a straw to make sure the final color does not get altered in any way

  • The results last 1-3 years, depending on procedure and how well you take care of your skin and the type of skin you have

  • It tends to last longer on drier skin and fade out quicker on oily skin

  • Wearing SPF everyday helps, and wearing a hat when exercising outdoors will prolong the life of your cosmetic tattoo

  • If you use Retin-A or Retinol, do not put it around your brows or over any other areas of the face that have been cosmetically enhanced

  • Do not use chemical peels and laser facials around your brows or over any other areas of the face that have been cosmetically enhanced

  • Do not get your face wet for at least 48 hours. The longer you can go, the better your results.

  • If you have oily skin, ignore the aquaphor healing technique and “dry heal” them. Kat can give you more specifics.
